When will the FED Tighten?

Speculation is at fever pitch as to when the FED will raise interest rates.  Most market participants believe the hike will occur in 2015, either during the June or September FED meeting.  This means, keep an eye on
U.S. economic data for clues as to when the FED will end their easy monetary policy.

FED chairwoman, Janet Yellen, has indicated that the FED is now data-dependent.  Translation: watch out for US Retail Sales (recently abysmal), Non-Farm payrolls (monthly job increases) and GDP (Gross Domestic Product) growth numbers; as the key indicators that might clue us into the FED’s next move.  Yellen will also be closely monitoring the housing market, for any signs of growth or stagnation this summer.
